My husband and I had our wedding at the Key Bridge Marriott in Arlington, VA. The hotel recommended that we hire a Day of Coordinator to handle the personal touches. I found Tiffanie on The Knot and we had a great initial conversation with her. We ultimately decided to hire her because of her great ideas and that she brings an assistant to help her out on the actual day. (I think the size of the wedding determines if she needs an assistant or not.) Tiffanie started working with us in depth about a month before the wedding. I had my own timeline, but she created her own which was much better. She was always very responsive to our emails with questions and changes to the timeline. We met with her several weeks before the wedding to review everything. During that meeting it was great how opinionated she was because she had tons of fabulous ideas that I never would have thought of. It was clear that she was an expert! Leading up to the wedding she also reached out to all of our vendors to confirm everything on their end. It was a huge time saver for us when she did that. During the final walk through she had some great ideas about room layout and it worked much better than what the hotel normally does. On the day of the wedding Tiffanie handled all of the details. I am typically a very detail-oriented person and like things a certain way, but I knew that she would be able to handle everything. We were able to visit with our guests without having to micromanage anything. When we had to do something (like the first dance or cake cutting), Tiffanie ushered us from one thing to another, which was very helpful. One of the best decisions in the wedding planning process was to hire Tiffanie!
